North East Beer Federation

Could your club own the brewery that supplies its beer?

We’re exploring a federation of sports clubs, social clubs and community venues: joining together to secure great-value local beer, build dependable demand and share a real voice in the business behind it.

A simple commercial idea

Build demand
before capacity.

Clubs need good beer at a fair price. A brewery needs reliable customers. Put the two together and both sides can plan with more confidence.

If 600 member clubs each sold just one keg or cask a week, that would represent 31,200 units a year. That is not a forecast or a promise—it shows the scale of what coordinated local demand could make possible.

The Federation would sit inside Social Brew Co’s wider North East Together mission: one brewery, built through different routes, with community benefit designed into its growth.

What membership could unlock

More than a
supplier relationship.

01

Competitive local beer

A dependable, great-value range designed around what member clubs and their customers actually want.

02

A stake in the future

The ambition is a meaningful member-ownership route, subject to the right legal and financial structure.

03

A democratic voice

Member clubs help shape the range, service and priorities instead of being treated as another account.

04

Club-branded options

Explore exclusive or club-branded beers for fixtures, events, fundraisers and proud local moments.

05

Collective buying power

A network of clubs creates the dependable demand needed to make better commercial decisions together.

06

Purpose close to home

Keep more value in the North East while helping fund connection, community and better conversations.

How we get there

Start with interest.
Shape it together.

01

Register interest

Tell us about your club, bar and current beer needs. There is no commitment.

02

Join a briefing

We’ll share the working model, listen to committees and answer the practical questions.

03

Test the offer

Where supply arrangements allow, clubs can explore a beer trial and give honest feedback.

04

Build the Federation

Founding clubs help refine membership once the legal and financial model is ready.

Expression of interest

Put your club
in the room.

The first step is simply a conversation.
